You never know, maybe SE have improved their "secret mods" and applied them to Stus car? Or maybe he's just gonna sit in that huge wake you create with your big butt and sling-shot you on the line? ;)

Chris back to topic mate,It is the 18g kit I am after;)any news yet on availability?

Should have news tonight :)

Mac, these turbos are fantastic but the manifolds that come with them have a habit of cracking due to the material they are made from, it might be worth doing a search on twinturbo.net.....

 They are made from the highest grade stainless

Thought you were going for the SE T28 roller ones

Hi Chris,

Yeah unfortunately Brian is right, if you do a search on TT.net a lot of the guys are getting their manifolds reinforced or getting other manifolds. I believe the pentroof ones are good but I do not know if they have fitment issues with the TDo5 16or 18G!

Hmmm will be interesting to see just how many have cracked:confused:

I was told by Paul there was no serious issues with them and he thought it was just a one off.

Mac,

Fraid it isn't a one off, if you do a search on TT.net or 300zxclub.com you will get many posts about it!

I find that very strange TBH that a company like Greddy would be aware of this problem and choose not to sort it out:confused:

After all Greddy is a massive name in Japan, these tubs are one of the most expensive kits available for a Z that I have seen to date.

from what I've read Greddy may well have cured the problem as I think it's been a while since someone's cracked. That or everybody is re-enforcing them now just in case any-way.

PS The pentroof ones are supposed to be great but stupidly expensive

I hope so mate:dance: any idea where you read it?

It is an interesting poll as i think all of them are garrett turbo's just re-badged, i may be wrong but i know that the greddy and the hks are deffo garretts!!

Greddy - mitsubishi

HKS/JWT - Garrett

PE - IHI

They are the major brands.

Mac, the Greddy manifolds MUST be reinforced. Apparently there are STILL problems with them - although far fewer seem to be going now - but they still are.

CheerZ,

Andy

Oh yeah, and it IS the 18g's you want. These are NOT listed as a kit produced by Greddy but can be ordered as special order ;)

CheerZ,

Andy
