1.2 60' is what they are claiming.

That must be one seriously lightened car with drag slicks to get those 60' times. Someone really needs to tell him he can't lose weight from the engine though :D Nice try nelson :D

Your brand new 350Z had just blown up and I mean blown up and all he says

"Oh well!"

Some one with too much money me things ;)

I love the way someone shows the guy half a conrod, and he joins in by pointing out that an intake pipe came apart from it's jubilee clip !

The car is sponsored by a dealership and supposedly Nismo as well... plus those dorks probably have plenty of cash as well.

Thats what happens when you over do it with a alloy V6 lump and piss poor internals:D ;)

Andyduff, do you actually have/or ever used nitrous?? Why do you think it was the "NOS" that caused the car to blow? Not havin a go, just curious. I have a WON kit fitted to my car and it has been fine up to now,I know many people with nitrous and have had no problems... Im running 100 shot with a progressive controller.

Why are you slagging off nitrous with your topic name?

Cheers, Dave

NOS is great, in small doses its fine, but have too much and it will easliy blow an engine. I dont think that you are running anywhere near as much NOS as drag car.

Why did you edit your post? Was it because you were being a little sarcastic? I know more about nitrous than you thought! I did a fair amount of research before I fitted Nos to my car.

All I wanted to know is why the topic name slags off nitrous? Surely with that type of heading, it puts people off the idea of having nos installed on there car....?

Dave

'NOS controler timing issues haunted the team all day so on sunday they tried something new. Turning off the DELAY for the NOS gave the 3.5VQ engine a nitrious boost of 375 HP in one gulp, she took it fine off the line resulting in the best 60 foot time ever, a 1.20... as andrew approached the 300 foot mark it was over, the engine blew and sent a fire ball from under the car.'

This is from this page

This is probably why Andy thought the Nitrous caused the car to blow  a 375 shot of nitrous would destroy most engines.

Well this isn't from looking at the car... this is what they claim.

Nismo does have a growing presence here... in fact we are able to get Nismo parts at dealerships now (for outrageous prices)

I don't think there is any arguement that would say the nitrous didn't blow the engine. You just don't run high amounts of nitrous through a stock engine. Hell a 302 Ford Mustang engine would explode with what they were supposedly running in the 350Z.

In fact the clutch is a testiment to the amount of nitrous as you hear it slip at the gearshift.
