Hi everyone im looking for a 300 zx twin turbo, seen one today, its gunmetal grey, 1992 k, 90,000 miles on the clock, leather int, price is £4000 which sounds good but the bodywork is not all that great eg. the nearside door and back quater has been resprayed (rather badly) and the drivers side rear wheel arch has rust bubbling and the whole car just looked grubby, its also has had a boost upgrade to 1 bar with a reciept for £246 does this sound about right ? oh and it go like stink ;)

Can someone please advise me if the price seem to much for a car in this condition as im a bit blinded by the performance of it.

cheers Martyn

ps. its a uk car.

Wrong forum here bud!!!

Should really be in help and advice...

Oh, and that's sounds quite good, depends on overall condition though...

I've justy bought a G (1990) 81.5k for 4k..

Cheers

Ben

If its the first one youve looked at id say dont buy it, take your time, look at a few, even ones you cant afford, work out what you can get for your money, dont dive in just cos youre in love with the car.

Belive me im speaking from experience;)

Forgot to say its a manual and there's a vibration that feels like the propshaft is out of balance or something........is this a common thing as the only other 300 ZX i've been in also did the same.... thanx for your help guys..

Martyn....

That vibration is most probably the prop shaft centre bearing worn out.

Its a common thing.

Check under the car for rust. If it is just surface rust and you can clean it up its no problem. I did the wrong thing and bought the first Z I saw and it is rusting all over. But on the other hand its probably got the most reliable engine on here and its the highest milage.

This boost upgrade, what is on the recepit? Does it just say boost upgrade? Are there any boost controllers in the car? Where does the recept say it was done.
