Ok, so like a few others at the moment I'm considering a 'Z'.

I've read the buying guide - not scared me off LOL

I'm looking for TT,man, >=93, SS zorst, nice wheels, spoiler, nice front, etc, etc.

I'd like one like Faisal/Crazy Eddie/Dave W/Mac 1 - know one forsale ? (The problem - Price around £5/6K)

Can anyone advise about servicing near to Loughborough (Tamworth - Zedworld would be ok for me)

Insurance - Group 20 I know (not a problem), can someone explin about 'classic' (looking at doing about 8K)

Anyone near Loughborough able to let me take a look (give me a go) at their Z ? (I can travel 20 odd miles if req. [M.Harb/Lutt/county wide])

Many thanks in advance

Hello bud and welcome.

Do you mean you have about £5/6k to spend? If that is the case then why not buy one for about £4ish and then mod it yourself, its so much more satisfying. There a few around on here at the moment for that kind of money. The kit might not be as much as you think, check out http://www.zcentre.co.uk

I have my Z on classic car insurance and basicly the only criteria is the car must over 10 years old. My company specifies I must have use of a 2nd vehicle but not sure if that is typical of all classic policies or not. I am limited to 5k miles a year I think but know I could've tweeked that up a bit if I had wanted.

If you are happy to go to Tamworth then as you say Zedworld would be ok for you. I'm sure Jeff wouldn't mind you popping over and checking out some of the Z's he has there.

I don't have time (can't be arsed more like) to get the mods done, even if I did, I still might not like it afterwards (if you know what I mean).

Doing little tweaks to the bodywork (polishing LOL) would be all I wanted.

I'm after a good looker with about 350HP but not with the engine dept too modified. (higher boost, S/S zorst, air intake)

you are asking for a car thats had a lot of work put into it by someone passionate..... its unlikely you will find what you want for that price.

You are better off looking for an imported on as they are more likely modified slightly.

Also keep your eye open on Auto Trader, as there are always cars for sale on there (Well Derrrrr, its a car sales mag:slap: )

Any way, there is a forsale section on the forum. Have a look in there for some Zs. There are so good ones on Auto Trader but you should really take some one who knows Zs with you when you look, or at least some one who knows cars.

Also read the technical forum to get an idea of that are the troubled parts of the ZX.

Stuart

UK cars were group 18 when I bought mine (5 years ago). Don't know if that's changed. Imports were group 20.

Mine needs some work doing on it and after 3 years of ownership I might be having to call it a day. Check out my website if you like and can afford 2k on top of what we could agree you would have one ****ing amazing car.

Can't believe I have just written that :'( email or pm me if you are interested.

Martin

p.s. car has since been lowered and sits just above the tyres / no plate not for sale

The problem you have here is that at least 3 of the guys above have spent oiver £15k on their cars, once of them is heading on or may have just past the £30k mark. So to get something like that for £6k is gonna be a little tough. Or do you just mean the exterior styling ?

WTF are you serious Martin ?

I think he means exteriror styling but even so the kits must have cost £5,000 each, as most of them would have had a complete respray when the kit went on.

Yeah I wouldn't know about that though :D :D

That's a secret ;)

Without the wheels and the tints you'll looking at about £3k but remember I already had the rear bumper.

I was a little drunk last night  but if the right money is offered then I would consider it yes. A very sad day for me but with no work and her off the road it would be the only sensible option :(

how much you lookin for martin?

Thanks guys - I'll keep my hear to the ground and my eyes open.

Jeff - got your mail, thanks, I'll contact you soon.
