Where would you like the track day to be held?

We have two choices which are

Elvington

Elvington is located about 7 miles south of York. It's aprox. 70miles from Manchester and 210 miles from London. The diagram below shows the layout of the track.

Binbrook

Binbrook is a few miles south from Grimsby. It's aprox. 120 miles from Manchester and 170 from London. Below is a photograph of the area of airfield we will be using with the track highlighted.

Have you voted?

I think Binbrook looks better too.

Please when you vote, post why you prefer that one, either closer, more interesting or anything else.

Additional note.

Stuart asked about tuition on the track. I aksed about this and depending on how many people their are going, for about £10 each we will get a qualified instructor to teach us racing techniques, such as braking where to turn etc. He/She will be dedicated to our group for the whole day.

So if that is an extra we would like, we can discuss it later.

Stuart

I like the sound of the instructor - seems a reasonable price too :)

Presume they'd be sat in the passenger seat of our car, that'd be cool.

Good work Stu

Pete

I'm voting Binbrook, looks more technical at least,as for instructors, mmmmmm, last time one was with me he turned white, screamed a bit as we negotiated a certain corner at Donnington at speed:Dgot another *****cking later ("NO FOOKIN WAY ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO TAKE THAT CORNER AT THAT SPEED,NEXT TIME USE THE BRAKE'S)got 87% marks for the day,so wer'rnt to bad:D you know what,i can still fookin hear him shouting:eek: :D This WILL be fun:D

ermmm i did :p

I voted for Binbrook - looks like a more technical track.

Instructor please!

Shall we start a group buy on pads and tyres?

Binbrook 100% - Elvington has a reputation for shredding tyres ;) If you have some old tyres, USE THEM!!! If you wanna know why, find the vid from when we did Kemble and at the very end, there's my tyre - minus masses of tread :D 120% day out though - worth missing the beer the night before ;) Also, if its anything like kemble, if your passenger pays £10, they are allowed to go in your car with you - although that was a charity day so may well be different. Don't forget your helmets - inc one for your passenger just in case ;) I took Lynsay round and she's never been so quiet - apart from the sounds of her helmet bashing the B pillar ROFL

CheerZ,

Andy

From the prices I have seen the cost also includes a passenger.

Sorry to join the thread so late, but how much are we talking for this?

(Tyres aside of course!)

The price depends on the time of year because the amount of light you have.

I am thinking doing this about March where the light will be about the same as it is now, so I guess the cost will be the roughly the same.

At the moment it is £85 for the day, but I have been told that we can get £15 per car off if we book 15 cars or more.
