2day was going to be a good day i thought when i woke up the zed was back and felt better than ever.

Was going to university to show off my pride and joy.

Arrived at uni and the day went well lots of admiring looks from the female kind a few "wows" and a few "take us for a spin" and also a few numbers.

But THEN the dreaded zed bug hit first my license plate got damaged and broke off the hinges which then had to be ripped off.

An hour later my car started leaking water steam everywhere from the rear of the engine bay.

Just got it towed to my house and wondering what to do iv got all the turbo by pass hoses (which is the only thing i can think it can be) but im wondering whats the point iv given up. The car is so much hassle as soon as u start enjoying it, the dreaded breakdowns come fast and thick.

Also the car is booked in this friday to the bodyshop and if it dont go in im screwed as ill have to wait another week and im really stuck for time as the car might not be ready for max power london. I need to find a mechanic who will do the job for me quick as both of my mechanics are really busy these days and they will tell me to hold on!!!

Im really pissed off never had so much hassle with a car in my life.

Am i the only 1 who is jinxed or what???

Everything is just caving in on me not enough time or money.

Im just wondering if God is punishing me for something

Anyway iv let off all of my anger now.

Calm down man, yes zed break, yes they cost a lot to fix, yes theyre a sh1tload of hassle, but theyre well worth it.

 

If you give up, sell it for less than its worth cos it not very well at the moment you will kick yourself later.

P.S How do you get phone numbers with your zed, my astra cabriolet pulled me more birds than the zed has, most think its an MR2!!!!

I spent £8K on mods and bodykit and was without the car for the best part of a year while it was being done.

Got the car back and 3 weeks later the auto box died, followed 2 weeks later by the engine!

Almost another year later, another £5K spent and it's still sat on my drive waiting for parts but it looks the dogs danglies! LOL

 

I'm looking forward to next year and only my second summer on the road in the Z in 4 years!

 

Am I insane?

Well the car stands out from a mile with the greddy kit and when the dump valaves go off and iv got the t bar off and the sounds blaring girls get curious and approach u and start asking questions i just chat them up from there and the rest is history.

 

Pretty easy mate and down london a zed that is kitted up gets enough respect from people on the streets so no matter what im always getting approached about my car its fun but when it breaks down it does really piss me off and also the AA are getting fed up towing my car constantly when the damn thing breaks down and it always seems to be the damn hoses.

 

But u lot are right other than that the zed is one wicked car and earns u alot of respect among people.

 

Im just gonna hold on tight and wait for the car to come out the bodyshop and pray nothing goes wrong.:confused: :rolleyes:

True say but then again stuart doesint have to go to uni in a clapped out golf which looks horrendously embarrasing and the girls seem to run when they see the car coming towards them.

 

Im so ashamed need my zed back to show up all the little nova and fiesta boyz up.

Thanks for the concern mate, but don't worry about me I've actually had my first bit of luck when it comes to the Z. I know it seems nasty but if I'm down about the Z I just need to think of someone else who is having worst luck than me and there were a few of those guys at SE, the poor buggers :cry:

Ur right, theres a few of us who are having trouble with our zeds but iv realised it comes with the territory.

 

But i gotta say uv done a top job on ur car looks fantastic.

 

Im from kingsbury which is in north west london.

 

I bet u cant wait for ur car to come back.

 

Iv got a 1 and a half months wait for my car to come back from the bodyshop.

 

Gonna be one long wait. Dropping her off in the next couple of days but itll be worth it when she comes back.

When the cars going well your pulling in the birds - that's worth millions man.

Look with these old Zeds you dont know how they've been treated or maintained - so hang in there mate and don't get so frustrated after all your only at Uni and already driving a supercar!

 

just enjoy it when it's going and when it's not just look at it and remember what it was going like.

Don't complain after all Lotus Espirit owners seem to suffer more!!!

When the car comes out ull probably end up seeing it cruising around hatfield and st albans anyway.

 

There might be a few things i might need to ask u later on about a few places in hatfield and st albans that deal with exhausts and a few other things ill let u know when the time comes near.

Two questions....!

 

How can you afford to buy and run and modify one of these cars whilst still at Uni?

Why don't you get the car sorted mechanically before blowing your wad on a body kit ?

 

You can bet that once the car has been newly painted, it will break down and the bodywork will get damaged whilst some grease monkey is removing your engine! :eek:

Well im 21 iv been working b4 i went back to uni and yes the student loans are helping me and if the engine has to come out itll be going to SE for that and some engine mods to (forgot there called nisstek now arent they)

 

And yes the banana told me to spend my student loans on the zed - i just love that banana - it makes me so happy
