Just thinking - dashboards are usually made out of a sort of reconstituted card type material.. You might get good results steaming it to soften it a little and bending it back down and simply weighting it overnight..

 

Of course the steam might discolour the surface, depending on what it's made out of ... Hmm...

Did the glueing option and it worked a treat - looks as good as new. I used Evo-stick rather than epoxy because I reckoned it would be easier to get it in place and once it's dry it sticks like blit to a shanket.

 

I acutally made up a U-shaped extension for the tube in order to get the glue in place, which enabled me to get most of it in the right place.

how long did it take you andy cause i had a look at mine and its done the same thing

Only about two hours.10 mins prep, 15 waiting for the Evo-stick to go sticky and the rest waiting for it to dry, followed by 5 mins putting it back together.
