Used to be on a big black Merc SL somethingorother. Belonging to, IIRC Steve Parrish bike racer extraordinaire.

I last saw it after a race meeting at Thruxton just before the M3 starts with Stavros at the side of the road talking to the boys in blue.

According to MCN at the time, he was done under the Obscene Publications Act hahahahaha cute even if not true ;)

CheerZ Ste,the MAC prefix is silly money, the best one I have seen was MAC1 it went for 30K 10 years ago:rolleyes:

Iain, are you sure it was MAC 1 and not 1 MAC that was sold 10 years ago for 30k??

I knew the guy who owns MAC 1 (was a customer of mine at the garage i used to work at) he bought it on a jag in the 60's and has never parted with it since.

Last i knew it was on his green audi cabriolet, i asked if he ever planned on selling it but the guy clearly isnt short of a bob or two and said no!!

As far as i can see hes still got it as i did an insurance quote put his reg in and it gave me these detais.

Yes defo I can even tell you who had it for sale,Elite reg;)

i've just seen these on regtransfers

MAC 68P £2445

MAC 14P £2345

MAC 92E £2245

MAC 51E £3690

A18 MAC £2195

MAC 186E £1390

MAC 791V £1390

MAC 235V £1294

SW 1 was available a couple of years ago. the trouble was, they were asking £130k plus VAT for it!!!!! maybe because its a posh london postcode or perhaps someone would be willing to pay that to have my initials on their car.

what kind of car must you own to justify spending that much on a plate though?

CheerZ Ste;) are these prices+ VAT?

just had another look and yes, you need to add vat and an £80 transfer fee onto those prices

MAC 235V comes out at £1600.45 all-in

That is a rip off for a regular 7 digit plate.

88 HKS £399 INCL VAT & transfer........oh is that first digit a 'B' ?

Got your heart set on 'MAC'?

Agree with James that's a silly price for a normal 7 digit plate:rofl:

Yes James,I do want MAC.

hi mac,

look on ebay - i was looking for a cherished alx plate or a dateless plate and i found B1 4LEX on ebay - i bid the reserve £200 and got it :o)

Dont buy off the normal websites - with the new plate regulations prices have seriously dropped.

Regards

I noticed that with the price. The DVLA where advertising plates for £250 including VAT and Transfer costs, while other sites where offering the same plate for £249 not including VAT or Transfer.

Stuart

Have struggled with the mac reg's, even looked at MAE, M4C, MAG all with very little joy:(

However I have found A4TUO for £244 from newreg.co.uk

Also theyve just started releasing private Q plates now, so my guess is it wont be long till they release the private Z plates too!!:D ;)

Hows about:

F47 GIT

or:

F4 TTY

???? :D:D:D

F4 TTY tours for £22,995

Or F4 TSO for a mere £14,395

LMFAO!!!

I just followed a client out from my work..........had to make a grab for my camera!!!!!! (this hasn't been PSP'd about!)

Sh1t.........just realised.............this does NOT represent the kind of people I usually see at work!!

Like the silver air vents in the door?

Like the silver air vents in the door?

Very nice mate!!

I've been thinking about doing that for a while, but I wasn't sure how the paint would take to them....

What did you use and how durable do you think it's gonna be?? I've already done the centre bit (with the vents and stereo in) with Plastcote, but i'm not too happy cos it's already got a couple of tiny scratches in it. I was thinking of trying Hammerite smooth spray. I used this on bikes before and it lasted well.

Any tips?? (related to spraying!! Thanks!!)

Cheers!!:)

I did my centre and those vents in the doors some time ago now and they have been fine. I rubbed them down, then couple of coats of plastic primer and couple coats of the actual paint, then lacquer.

(sorry-hijack thread, any more q's pm me)

It depends where you get it from. The DVLA site quote prices with VAT and Transfers, others dont.
