Had a few hours to kill this afternoon so thought I would put Vijays boost leak detector to the test that I bought 4 weeks ago.

The only problem I had was the very short hose on the foot pump so had to put it on a small step ladder as no box was available, anyway took off the oil filler cap and pumped away and could not build any pressure at all, so put the cap back on and four pumps later had built up suitable pressure to find FOUR  boost leaks (including one split pipe at the back of the balance bar).

Fixed 3 of the 4 as the last one seems to be coming from underneath the plenham somewhere.

Had to adjust the boost controller down quite a bit as its making and holding boost much lower down the set scale (SBC-ID) also had to adjust the TPS as the car was now ticking over at 1300rpm instead of the normal 750.

Pound for pound this is one excellent bit of kit and worth every penny :)

I still can;t get any pressure on mine or James300's nor did I get any on Paul Gunns ?.

I have a electric compressor as well

Stu - did you try giving the engine a turn over without starting? There was some discussion a few weeks ago about the valves being in an open position so no pressure can build up.
