I think the number plate on my car looks stupid http://www.300zx.co.uk/rides/senna/chrisf-1.jpg

The front has changed slightly since the pic was taken (as has the owner LOL), it has Impreza clear side repeaters and clear front repeaters.

But the number plate imho opinion looks like a big flat carbuncle!

I quite like Tonys square one http://www.300zx.co.uk/rides/lack300/tony_s.jpg

Do you guys reckon that a square one would look better on mine and does uk law say it has to be bang in the middle?

I dont know what the hell SE made my nosecone out of, but feckers it can take some serious road assault, I hate scrapage!! frown.gif

Say that is one niccccceeee car, had a black one myself previously well cool.

As to the plate I think you need to loose the hard fixings completely and us double sided tape top and bottom of plate to fix across the front and bend the plate to match the contour of the bumper like mine below, oh and a nicer font on the plate would help.

Thanks for the advice Jeff... just have a feeling that the plate is ruining the whole front end..

And thanks for the compliment too, tis a nice car indeed, only a funny font may attract the attentions of the rozztibles round my way (yeah like the feckin car doesnt;-) )!!

What happened to your old black one mate?

BTW how did you get your engine & bay so clean Jeff, you could eat your roast dinner off it !! always wondered that when i looked at your site!! smile.gif

Don't want to put a downer on things, but in case you're planning something fancy take a look at this page from the DVLA first:

http://www.dvla.gov.uk/vehicles/regmarks/reg_marks_newrules.htm

I was fancying doing something different with my front plate too, like getting a smaller rally-style one made up, but once again Big Brother puts a stop to it...

I think you'll find that technically the rear number plates on all imports are illegal because they tend to use smaller letters because the plates themselves are smaller.

I like to be fairly anonymous (dark colour, quiet exhaust etc) and so I changed from front square plate to a standard UK oblong one. This way from the front the rozzers don't think the car is an import and therefore are less likely to bother me.

Hi,

Go to this site for legal and illegal no. plates...they were at Billing this year. http://www.abgraphics.co.uk/NUMBER.html

Will make any size/shape/font.
