Anyone used this with their iPaq? Any good?

No..

Heh :)

I have TomTom 1.5 - never got around to sending off for my free upgrade, and a colleague has TomTom 2..

For navigation it's very good - hasn't got me lost yet, and it's easy to use, clear directions etc. TomTom 2 is even better than 1 in this respect.

The only problem we've found is that if you're using the later firmware in your iPaq (2.20 and greater), then the SD card access has been slowed down, which means searching for town names & street names can take longer than you'd like :(

That problem is worse in TomTom2, because the next time you search, it pre-fills the fields with the last thing you searched for, and then has to go through it's database to find those places.. d'oh!

Also, there's no PostCode support for the UK, which sucks :(

I had Navigator 1 (1.5?) and upgraded to 2 for free (well 6 quid postage), Navigator 2 is a lot better, the maps are a lot more recent and accurate (even though there are still some mistakes). Its even heard of Glastonbury now :) It also has some nice new features like being able to avoid the London congestion charge zone and being able to route around a road block ahead.

I use it to display when speed cameras are coming up (only fixed ones obviously)

Roy, its excellent.

Every now and then it slows down but then my ipaq does that from time to time anyway.

Everyone who sees it in action is amazed and wants one !
