A man lived by himself with no pets and very rarely went out, and he rarely had visitors. One day he watered all his plants, turned off all the lights and left the building, never to return again. No one else visited his house whilst he was away. His actions resulted in the deaths of six men. Can you explain why?

That sounds like me...

Hangon.. It was me! It was the last six vistiors I ever had, who I bludgeoned to death with a rubber mallet and stuck in the closet..

Er.. Um..

Nurse!

Dave is correct! As a prize I will bring your lights round later, bud!

I dont believe the light house answer is the correct one. Now a days ships have fantastic GPS systems which will tell them within a few feet, where they are in the world, and along with underwater radar which tells them how deep the water is, I dont think a light house would have saved them, when all this equipment couldnt. ;)

Stuart

underwater radar

surely you mean "sonar"?

I'm sure "submarine" will clarify this one :D

Who says the man didn't live in the lighthouse 100 years ago? It doesn't say that it's a modern day question! :p :D
