I know its a late question fella,s,but only managed to wangle my way out of nephews christening!!! OOOPS!!!! Anyway,im coming from the Manchester area.Any suggestions on the best way to get there?Im willing to set off at Whatever time is needed!!!

the m6 actually ends running on to the m1. you join the m1 at junction 19

and head south.
