Evening :)

I've got an Autometer Water Temp Gauge to fit, and I presume this piece included in the box is a new sensor? (see attached)

Question is - should I fit the new sensor in place of the old one, and wire both new and old gauges to it. Or leave the old in, and wire both to it. Or will one not work in each case? Obviously I'd like the new gauge to work ;)

Will this new sensor even fit the hole in the noraml hard coolant pipe?

Cheers people :)

Pete

Oh yeah - the attachment...

Pete do what I did,get a SS hard top rad pipe from Smithy,he will make you a boss so the sender threads into it;)

You can fit it where your stock one is but you will have to retap the thread on the sender, hovever..............................

Do you want your stock temp gauge to sit there and do nothing?

Im having one done by Smithy at the mo.....cost £47.00 all in for new hard pipe including all connections (in whatever colour) to replace the upper short rad hose. He welds the boss in you send him.

Will let you know what its like...should be back next couple opf days.

Good price - will go for that then :D:D

Cheers fellas :D

Mac - I found a 2nd hand stock rad for sale down the road from me :D:D - trouble is they want £125 for it  but I might have to cut my losses and pay that in order to get to billing. They reckon its in great nick though. Might be able to sell it when I get an uprated one sorted though.

Took out the duff radiator tonight - what a faff on that is, getting the autobox pipes off it (which aren't even connected!!) was an arse - took me about an hour in total

Cheers

The radiator oil pipes are blanked off further down but I still had to remove them when the rad was in the car
