finished removing my aiv's this morning :D Only reason I removed them was because they weren't being used with the de-cat pipes on and I didn't like being able to see the two pipes dangling under the car a bit!

Of course a write-up on how to do it on twinterbo.net helped!

And for the Nelson's out there, I put both of them in a bag then on a pair of scale's - just over 3Kg together

Now to adjust my ride-height :D

mm was thinking of removing mine as a I have decatted it .

whats the exact procedure cos i checked on twinturbo.net and there is a few conflicting write ups.

thanks Richard

I didnt know you could remove them. Is there any performance gain from doing it? I know the cars tend to over fuel when you remove the cats. Would doing this rectify the problem?

this is the one I followed and it's spot on, even down to removing the vacuum lines

for some reason I thought it was a twinturbo.net one, but I think this was one was with a few others on AndyP's site.

Took me 2 -> 2.5 hours all in.

no real gain as they aren't being used any more when you de-cat, so I just removed them to tidy up a bit. They were heavier than I thought they would be though :D
