...just got front and rear poly bushes from M J P - any tips on fitting - particularly the front tie rod bushes - was someone suggesting warming them up in hot water before hitting them with a lump hammer...

If you have a large vice, you can press the front tie bushes in with that.

A large vice is the easiest way I think.

If you can push out the metal centre first then it makes it fit easier.

 

Getting the old ones out is the worst bit.

I think a few people have had to put a hacksaw through it and cut it into pieces :(

My dad got a blow torch on the old bushes, heating the outside of the bar and then knock the old bush out. We then pushed the new bush in with a 20 ton vice ;)

 

Heating it up wont help as it will expand and make it harder to push through.
