I have an MX5 (stop laughing) so I use thier forum quite a bit, and I dip in here cos my husband has a 300zx.

The following was posted on the MX5 site

"The Beauty of sitting in a Scooby is that you just KNOW that NOTHING barr another Scooby or Evo can even think about matching you for pure Balls-Out power.

God its a great feeling, being able to choose which lane you slide up to a roundabout/junction in .... as, nothing but nothing, will be able to get away faster ......................... POWER, pure raw POWER"

What do you think is the scooby raw power?

Orgasmic stuff !!:D

Do Scooby's have any power?

I overtook an STi at about 60mph on country roads like it was standing still !

The next one I came across tried to get away by going into a corner so fast he lost it and nearly went through a hedge (I cruised past him on the next straight while he was cleaning up his trousers and getting a beating from his lady passenger!) LMAO

Scooby's? They're those ugly little box type things that get ever so tiny in my rear view mirrors!:D

They are not rally cars heh, their owners often think they are, a rally spec subaru is about 300k and needs a rebuild every 210miles.

Ive never raced one thogh (or know I was racing one ;))

Just so happens Mike,3 scooby owners where i work(all young)have so far managed to blow 2 engines(went pop at 140mph!!)2 gearbox's,one's just had a balls out rebuild(allegedly)that runs outa steam at 130mph and its been back and forth to tuners more times than i have had a cold, one lost rear axle(literaly)when giving it some one night at traffic lights, must admit ,i just love listening to em,mostly apprentices here, its like Kak Power but in real life in ya face, the total bollox is amazin, but i look back to when i was 18-20 with me mini van n furry dice and think, mmmmm not much different now just that the cars are quicker/safer and more forgiving than i my day:D ;)

To be fair, my mates got a nicley modded STi & its fekking bonkers fast!! - sorry, but it is!

iv not actually raced it, but iv driven it & its damn fast, he loves my zed tho ;) thinks the way the zed puts the power down is a lot smoother & just keeps on pulling compared to the more "snappy" power of his STi.

im gonna have to have a blast with him soon just out of interest, but its very impressive, esp off the line.

hopefully hes coming to Billing with me (can we have a scooby parked inbetween a load of zeds?? :D ) so ill have a blat with him on the way up

they'll give us something to laugh at i suppose :D

seriously tho - can he park with us lot or would he have to go to the scooby section  he doesnt hang out with scoobynet or anything & hes just coming up with me

I wouldn't say no to a modded 22B ;)

Nor a supra JZ2GTE.

I'd draw the line a Nova though.

I always have Subaru drivers trying it on, when infact only the STi stands a chance. The others are nothing special about 200-220bhp cars. Dont forget 200bhp 2 wheel drive will only get 120 at the wheels or something.

The imports are 240, 260 and 280bhp as far as I remember.

I've been in my brother-in-law's P1 (UK 280bhp) and they are very quick cars. 0-60 in 4.5 or so and capable of speeds that would be suicidal in other cars in the snow.

The more 'normal' cars are a fair bit slower.

They get you up to the speed ok in the snow...its when you want to turn or brake they are useless ;)

Imprezas run big ends for fun after a fast (130-145 mph) run, but the boxer engine is fantastic, apart from the big end problem ;) they sound ferking ace!
