I seemed to have downloaded something and I am plagued by them!!!!!

mark, go here... http://www.lavasoft.nu/software/adaware/ and download this prog called adaware, it cleans your pc of all spy ware and adware software, its shocking the first time u use it.

I think scoops was the Castrol RS man;)

I have Zone Alarm fire wall, and that stops any pop ups from appearing. Also Opera browser does this too. Infact Opera does a better job of stopping the adverts as Zone Alarm blocks 1 or 2 other things which you may need, but it can be customised.

Topless.... to the original question, and yes adaware is a very good program, but unless u pay ur dues to them u only get the basic version, which is very good, but you have to do all the work after uv been on-line, if you pay to upgrade it u get the all-singing/all-dancing version. If u go to http://www.panicware.com you can down load a FREE version of there Pop-Up-Stopper, and this works all the time, a little too good some times:D . Ive got both, cus the pop-up-stopper doesnt find trackers from un-scruperless compnies that put them there, which adaware does so they r both very usefull for what you want!!!!

I hope that helps you out......No I'm not a pc nerd, just what I've learned over the last few years:D
