well I've had 19 " for a year and they are the blitz z1 can't beat it for looks and yes a firmer ride ride but not too bad if you don't lower car and beef suspension up too hard

So how long before we see 20" with 275/25 by 20" then?

Also are bigger diameter wheels not fundamentally heavier? and does it matter?

..... and lets be honest thats why every one puts larger wheels on.........if people moan at the price of tyres why did'nt they stay with standard wheels:rolleyes:

No I thought the proper reason to have larger wheels was to fit larger brakes on.

Also 245/45/16 is a very unusual size and often tyres that size cost more than 17 or 18s

I think that depends on the maker and if 50 pounds make a diff I dont believe it would be that much

yep mine has 19s on it and i have also lowered the car 30mm it has never rubbed the wheel arches nor the plastic inner ones on full lock. i would also go as far to say 80mph dashes around country roads are now a lot of fun. the ride is stiffer but the ride is awesome. so long as you get the correct offsets. Elite in london are very good.

for the sake of a £200 more get 19s then slam the car 30mm with AVO springs. i can get these progressive wound springs for less than a couple of fills of optimax.

:p :D

Got to agree with Lack300 got the same set up and they look the dogs and no rubbing, ride is firm but what do you expect if you want a soft ride buy a Jag or get yourself a big bird:D :D :D

Do they stop the car leaning so much round a corner?

I lowered my other cars and it worked a treat, Just heard it's a bad idea to change the springs on a Zed.

I take it you lose the anti-squat and adjustable suspension with aftermarket springs.

*Wishing my Zed didn't go round corners on it's door handles*

IMHO it improves the handling 100% these progressive springs are the tits. ask harve about the anti squat as i have fitted a set on his recently. mine being an import i didnt have the electrics on the dampers. i can now do a set of AVO's supplied and fitted for £200. :;)

I actually talked on the phone to the owner TAVIS TAN. I loved those rims so much I had to ask him how much, are ya sitting down....close to $10,000.00 U.S.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Now where's that chair? ;)

Yeah...not to mention he works at axis where they make the rims the rear are 19X10.5 he had them mill down the back a little at a time to get the offset correct

Well guys I got my 19s on today .........awesome just awesome , and it did NOT affect the way my car rides at all

Well - I had decided on 18'' because of what I had heard about ride quality!

But maybe now after reading opinions here, I'll have another think. I agree 19'' look awesome!!!

Geoff.

well I bet alot of people wont believe me but after riding tonight I think my car rides smoother and my girlfriend agrees with me. Maybe its the soft compound in the so 3 s
