I have had a virus on my computer and no virus checker will find it.

I have even bought Norton Anti Virus 2003 and got all the latest virus definitions.

I formatted my HDD about a week ago, and before installing any updates or programs I installed Norton and a fire wall and made sure both were up to date.

I run the scan at least once a week and the virus checker checks for updates every time I boot my computer up which is a few times a day.

Here is a log of my virus scans.

All of that and considering I did a fresh install 8 days ago.

Pisses me off these people who write these things. Some time my virus checker justs pops up saying its found these viruses even though I am not downloading anything, or even browsing the internet.

2 days ago Norton released a software update which I installed, and after rebooting ran the update again and downloaded 3mb of virus definitions, dispite the day before it saying I was up to date. After these 3mb of virus definitions where installed, up popped about 10 windows saying it had found a virus.

 Reading the write up about the virus, the definition for detect the virus was only released the same day I installed it and I had over 10 counts of it.

People who make these viruses need to be shot.!

No damage has occured from these viruses, thank god, and any one who I have sent emails or pictures to are safe as they dont attach to those, and it would have been detected as I sent them.

looking at your log, seeing as the Backdoor.Dvldr was the first on your system, this can give access to hackers,

dunno if this is anything to go on

I know. That probably got on some how and that caused the others to get through even through the fire wall.

Just pisses me off that 2 hours after formatting and installing windows again I got a virus.

You may want to ask wazza and Roy about this virus, thi sfil in particular.

They know alot about attacking MUMA's !!

One of my clients used to be some IT techie firm. The guys were all Masters Degree + graduates in fighter aircraft control surface software programming:eek:   They had all written viruses at some time or other, either for a 'laugh', or because apparently some viruses are GOOD? They said that some viruses can find and fix software problems, or make machines run more smoothly and reliably.

So, you may hate viruses, but they all come from the IT Techie community who hate them the most! LOL!! Lets face it, none of us IT Morons would have a clue where to start!

Sorry but I've gotta say - I think death is just a little bit harsh for writing a bit of code :D:D:D
