I was (my Mrs was) interested to know how many of you let your partners drive your Zed's. I understand if you are too scared to post a comment in case they see, in which case you can PM or MSN (ArundaleP@hotmail.com) and tell me yourself!!!!:D

Paul... oh and Chelle.

Featured Replies

it depends if they got a zed too:D and then you can take it in turns heheheehe

I take it this is more targeted at our male members

I deliberately didn't make it sexist, I know there are women on this forum (couldn't be dealing with the nagging if I did). Just curious as my Mrs has been nagging for a drive for ages, I wanted to know if anyone else was as protective as I am of my Z.

Paul (Protective sad bast&$d)

yes i'm fussy about who drives it, only 1 person i'd let drive me car

on a regular basis

depends also on how good a driver your partner is

some ppl are used to cars can drive anything..

all down to trust really..your car your call

Yes I let my wife drive my car, she is a brilliant driver and does not show up "Boy racer's" on the way home from visiting my father, when I have had too much to drink. :D :D

I have just typed this for my husband, as I am sure it is what he wanted to say. ;)

Jane & Bob.

Nice one Jane.

I have just typed this for Paul and I am sure he feels exactly the same as Bob! He knows I am a better driver than him and will let me have the keys to his Z anytime!!

Chelle & Paul

Hi all! :D

At the moment Wendy is doing FAR more miles in the Z than me!!

She only lets me 'borrow' it to put petrol in it! LOL :D :D

Robert & Wendy.

Well,

I have had my Z since September 2001 and guess how many times my Mrs has driven it?

0

That's right, ZERO, ZILCH, NEVER, NADA.

Now I'm not saying that I don't trust her but lets just say that when ever we go anywhere, I always drive. She has her own car and I like to keep it that way. Hell, I get nervous when ever I let my best mate drive it, who is an excellent driver.

The only person, I can honestly say, I am 99.999999999% confident with driving my motor, is my mechanic. Papa Zed!

I get the distint feeling that this thread is going to turn in to a battle of the sexes but I have my reasons for not letting her drive it.

However, I could be pursuaded if anyone knows of any 10 acre carparks with no bumps, trolleys or bollards in it.

Lights fuse and legs it! :D :D :D

Yep my Girlfriend has never driven my car and she doesnt want to. Win Win situation.

Stuart

Why not Stuart? I wish mine would stop asking,is she ok in the head?Dont know of any girl that would say no.

She just doesnt want to drive it. Says its too wide, too long and she wouldnt trust herself with the power.

Stuart

hhmmmmmmmmmmmm:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Is that right?? Not used to the power........ too long, too wide.. hehehe

Sorry Stuart, had a few and reading it made me chuckle.

PAul (SPARKZ)

I always let my wife drive my Skyline GTR

She only passed her test a few months ago and is still learning but I trust her with my life. So I definately trust her with a dumb chunk of metal.

If you dont trust your good lady with your car then I'd suggest you trade her in for a new model....

IMHO

;)

Aarrrgggghhhh! What have I started?

I would let my Mrs drive it anytime, problem is that currently my Z is in bits!! (Not for much longer I hope)

She has just found an interest in Z's from nowhere, so now she wants mine, Doh!! I get the feeling that once she's in I wont get her out, she'll love it, I know, I will never be allowed to play.

Paul

I used to let my misses drive all my cars, when I had a misses that was ;)

She still wants to come round and have a drive of the Zed, cos she misses it! :D

Actually, she is a very good driver and doesn't say no to kicking the arse off it against some boyracers, she just draws the line and doesn't go silly - Like me ;)

Same as Stuart, my wife has never driven my Z or ever wanted to!!

She's more interested in driving her 4x4 and her horsey pursuits!

Suits me fine!!! :D :D ;)

Cheers,

F.T.

Hmm, mine too has only just passed her test, i would not want her driving it. nothing to do with not trusting her really, she's just not had the experience & would not want her to have a 400bhp car under her control - could be potentially fatal!! (esp if she scratched it!! :D )

all IMHO too

I will sit in the protective sad twats section, I dont let anyone drive my cars or bikes.

You should never give your car, bike and wife to ANYONE.

Yeah I let the missus drive it!!!

She is good and gives it a lot of throttle!!!!!!!!#

But I always check round to make sure no scratches etc.

I would prefer if she had her own car - but there really isn't much need.

Geoff.

Its nice to know that we girls aren't left out of all the fun.

I love "our" Zed and I am itching to drive it! Well........who couldn't resist?

Chelle;)

Chelle, glad to know you enjoy driving a zed there is not enuf women who drive zeds

Welcome:D

I only let others have a drive in my Z if theyre either;

1) A trusted friend

2) Another Z driver

3) A bird im trying to pull

A better title to the thread would have been:

Does your parner like your zed?

Mine is free to drive it anytime - she has driven it twice and

she doesn`t like it

Thats ok more time for me to drive it!

I think women who drive big flash cars are in a minority.

Most of them prefer something a little more subtle.

Whereas us guys dont care and prefer to be seen in something

fast/flash/big/expensive.

Quite nice for a change though when you can jump in another

car and not have everybody and the cat wanting to race you.

Mark

Only when I am in no fit state to drive myself........

I let my missus drive the car once, when it was going to be collected from her office by the mechanic. On her way home she could not get the auto into gear for half an hour as she forgot to put her foot on the brake.

She has also written off two of her own Z31s.

See how brave (or stupid) I am.
