Hi,

 

New on here, my mate bought a uk 300 zx twin turbo on the friday, and the auto gearbox seems to have packed in on the monday. as you can imagine hes not too pleased, hes thinking of either selling the car for £2000 (its red, uk car, leather, ttops etc.) or getting it fixed.

 

anybody know where he can get a auto box from?? ive tried posting in the for sale and wants section but it says im not allowed to post in that section ???

 

any help appreciated. thanks.:D

you could try AndyZ to see if he's got a second hander

 

or you could have it rebuilt

 

or you could do the right thing & convert to Manual :D

He put me intouch with a firm in Cannock that rebuilds autoboxs or reconditions old ones and fits them, it begins with a V but I'm stumped if I can remember what they are called!!

 

But they did do a great job on sorting mine out, I did however have a brand new sero miles, autobox fitted!

 

Try those and see how you go!!

Someone moved the thread you posted into For Sale and Wanted and you got a reply. You posted the same question in AndyZ and he replied to you.

If you do a search on here for auto box and similar, you'll find loads of posts about good rebuilders, bad ones and pros and cons of changing to manual or not. I could do that for you but then we're not very helpful are we ;) lol

Sorry to bite your head off but I had seen the replies that peeps had given and thought WTF. Will engage brain before posting next time.
