Was watching the BTCC yesterday when they presented the Will Hoy memorial trophy to the driver of the day. Couldnt believe my ears.

 

Just done a search and sure enough he died after a short illness just before Christmas. He was only 50!!!

 

Heart goes out to his family and three kids.

Yeah Will HOY :( We stayed at his house down in Devon about 2 years ago - he was ill already.(they had a sort of B&B) very nice people, real shame.

When he played Surrey Uni in *ahem* 1977 (ish) he and his road crew had black T-shirts with gold lettering which said in small subtle letters on the front
