I filmed a couple of vids today in the Zed, I wanted you guys to take a look at them and see if it looks like my Zed is running OK.

It seemed to be pulling OK, but it can be a bit intermittant sometimes.

Anyway, here they are:

Eric's Zed 0-80mph

Eric's Zed 50-95mph

Cheers all :D

Any comments?

It looks like a rough time of 6.9 seconds to 60!:eek:

That's pretty piss poor, although that's not with a proper launch.

And about 7 seconds 50-90...

BTW:

How do you launch an auto?

Works for me

Try Second video

The best launch for an auto is full brakes on full accelerator on, stall the torque converter then lift off the brake. Max torque max distruction max acceleration. Not the most delicate of launches but effective.

Is it me, but now Ive got my Z I actually drive slower coz I just know I can kick ass?

Mine seems like it goes faster than that, but then again it would as its only got a 110 mph speedo in it!!:D

does seem a little bit slow for the revs to rise, mines a j spec and seems to fly up once the boost kicks in around 3000, also mine will rev round to 7000 too, as far as i know its stock,

i know the boost guages are pants but i thought it should go higher than that,

not really tech advice i know but the comparison may help, although j spec have a power button not sure if that makes a difference

Ditto

It looks like your in safty boost.

but nothing to bad apart from being maby in safty boost lol

I was thinking about the safety boost. My stock gauge has never been any good, but I am thinking you have a boost leak. For saftey boost, the dial sould go to 7psi. Its going over it but only just.

Also it may be your launch for the 0-60 times. You need to keep your revs high for the low speeds to spool your turbos up.

I dont know how you do that with an auto.

Stuart

If I was in safety boost that would explain the slow times ;)

I may have a boost leak from one of the intercooler pipes, but don't have the cash to get it sorted at the mo :(

Also it's a UK car so no power button on the gearbox, just overdrive.

Looks like I'm stuck with changing gear when the autobox wants to change and there's no way I'm revving the car to the max and then lifting the brake, I know how much autoboxes cost and I can't afford a replacement ;)

It's going to have to go to Zedworld as soon as I get some money.

If your auto box goes I think its cheaper to convert to manual ;)

That may be something to consider in the future, but for now I have to keep the auto.

Hmm, now icant see the 1st video either but i deffo saw it the first time. What codec is that encoded in? My machine says Angelpotion, but I have that installed and it still wont play.

Should just be a windows avi file
