After a number of failed attempts, I might have a supplier in the US who is willing to make up the faces in mph for us in the UK. The faces I'm talking about will change colour from blue - light blue - green - blue green - light green - violet - cyan - indigo at the touch of a button. The kit will include the transformer and all replacement faces.

 

The rough price I have will work out to between £150 to £170, which would include shipping and taxes.

 

If anyone's interested, can you just say if your clocks are a series 1 or 2, as the fitment would be different.

 

I can't say if this will definitly come off as I've been promised by other suppliers so I'm just trying to see the interest. If we do get enough he has "promised" I will have the first one to try in abouts 2-3 weeks.

Stuart, the problem I would have is trying to convince him to make a small amount. He's having a bit of an issue cos when I first spoke to him, I mentioned larger numbers that I've got (oops):eek: :eek: I'll see what I can do though.

 

Hi Vijay, I was thinking something along these lines with the missing stock psi and oil gauges.

 

The only problem I see is he'll have to take them off the production line at some point before the holes are cut. Again I'll speak to him and see what he says.

If I'm right, it won't really matter if it's a series 1 or 2 fitment. I've looked at another instrument panel and it seems as though as long as the bottom 2 locations pins are used and the face is glued in the middle, then they should be fine - can anyone confirm that???

 

Secondly, We will have to mount an LED to work as the "low petrol" light as I don't think the lamp will shine through. I don't see that as a major issue as an LED can be mounted in the gray plastic front cover and should look OK (it would be easy to wire up to the bulb holder).

I like the idea about getting rid of the stock boost and oil pressure gauges. I have aftermarket gauges and it would be a nice clean finish if the stock ones were covered up. If it's possible, then I'll have one of those.

I know these are in KM's but you get the idea.

Can you do them in MPH?

We are based in Brisbane Australia and have just finished doing the dials for the Australian 300zx club. They are silver faced reverse indiglo. I can do them in miles no worries, did you guys want both miles and km's? I still have a few km ones in stock.

This kit caters for both TT and NA models.
