See the attached picture it shows the drivers side inner wing suspension turret mount on a UK zed.

 

I have seen few serious rust problems on the zed except lower sills etc but do see this problem at the front mainly on UK spec cars.

 

If the inner arch guard is removed it is not too obvious why this occurs, just a thought how many owners have this same fault and wonder if it causes MOT failures as it is very close to a fixing point?

Mine is like that at the moment and yes it should fail if it is so far from a mount like you said.

 

I am attempting to repair it this week while I have a week off, but if you have any suggestions or advice on how to do it I would be very grateful.
