I have just noticed a funny noise on my 300zx 1990

it sound like a clock, clock clock (or a horse walking) and it seems to be coming form the drivers side and when you open the door and you have the air pipe that join the door, it seems to be coming form with in there ( tube). nothing was on (eg air con) and you cant here it from under the bonnet

it only happens when the engine is on, but it sounds like something bubbling

what could be in the air /con heater pipes area

I just want to know what it is

That would be your air injection values (AIV). It's got a little bit of water in it and it will be gurgling away when the engine is idling, you probably won't hear it once you dirve.

Damn i got a mot this week!

will it be ok?

can someone help me!!! please (pay cash)

This is common - they are supposed to clear them selves on deceleration - so take it for a spin - stick it in first - cane it and let it free wheel to slow down - you should find it stops gurgling - if not there are ways of curing it so it stops permanently - it involves drilling a drain hole in the valve.

Where abouts are you in the country???

I have a auto, and am in aldershot in hampshire near guildford, basingstoke and woking

If someone wants to visit then i buy them lunch (hehe)

Hmmm nowhere near unforts but I'm sure there's bound to be someone down there who knows what they're talking about :D

Where am i looking for it

Is it inside the car where i sit?

is it under the bonnet

or is it behind the wheel?

I could not understand the guide too well on the location

You need to remove each front wheel, then remove the arch liner - you'll see the valve assemblies at the back of each front wheel arch....

Cool thanks

So who can get me the parts cheap and fast?

As ytou might of guess i am not really a hands on bloke (saying that i love installing ice and just fitted my k and n`s)

I stick to what i am good at which is all things computers

So i got the guide on how to change it or clean it

might do it saturday

Nothing to replace really - just empty the water lol

The filter elements may need replacing if they've got wet but tbh I'd just empty the water....

So how easy is it to do and have you got a pic of what it looks like
