An advert in the latest EVO caught my eye, on the inside back cover was an advert for Vredestein Tyres, offering 2 'sports' tyres designed by Giugiaro.

I personally, love the look of the Eagle F1 DSG3, but they are also an exceptional tyre, coming first in the EVO group tyre test last year and from personal experience, they have performed very well offering a high level of grip under most weather conditions, except snow, where they are dreadful, in addition to offering a good level of comfort and wear rate, the D3s apparently being better in this catagory than my old D2s, I shall wait and see about that one. So you can make a good looking tyre perform equally well.

Just thought it would be interesting to hear other peoples opinions as I havn't heard any comments at all about Vredestein Tyres...

I used some Vredestein Tyres on a car a few years back. They werent either of these, but they were a very nice looking tread pattern.

Overall performance was OK, not on a par with Bridgestones, but they didnt half squeal when turning on dry roads!!

I pretend to work, they pretend to pay me!

You do realise that Guigaro is the car designer...Giugiaro is some made up sheeite to fool people (for whatever reason) that they are designer tyres...as its obvious thats what theyve tried to do!

No offence to guigaro...but im sure theyd rather leave the tyres designs to the tyre companies ;)

I was very careful as to how I spelt the designers name - Giugiaro. Giugiaro is/are product designers in the same way that Philipe Starke is!

Tim

aye.
