I jointly own the cars. I had a little talk with Timmy Turbo on here once who didn't believe that I owned the cars, until I said I would happily fax over to him details of the log books !! lol I think he believed me after that.

 

The MKIII is more or less standard, some mods will be done this year.

 

The MKIV has got quite a few mods and has been on the dyno at MIRA and the calculated HP at the flywheel was in the region of 400. So yes the MKIV is VERY quick, but the car will have some more work carried on it this year also.

 

So what have you done to your Z? other than have the interior replaced??

Marc, if you want a hand with the interior let me know mate. Been there and done that and believe me you've done the easy bits so far, the rear quarters and the door cards are a b1tch LOL.

When you cut the leather round the door handle opening, make sure you have the handle in place as the hole in the door card is much longer than the handle.

Me and a couple of other people who have done this ended up with a gap at the side of the handle! Not good after all the effort!

You mean you cut a hole ??

The way I did it was just got the center point and slit into sections, that way you can fold and when the handle surround goes back in place you don't get any gaps at all.

Stu mate i mite take you up on that offer how long do you reckon it will take us to do it i wanna try and get it done by sunday if it wont take that long i could come down one nite after work

Youve spent a bit on it then,Ive got trust jamma pipes with 6" twin tail pipes,plus decat pipe twin blitz BOV'S blitz induction kit hks turbo timer going for boost upgrade next she doesnt hang about either

If it's just two doors and two quarter panels we should only be looking at a couple of hours.

 

I can't do Tuesday or Thurdays as I have boxing but May be able to do the Wednesday. I'll be getting in about 18:30.

Give me a buzz tomorrow afternoon (not between 3 and 4 as I'm up the gym)

No need to worry now mate about the leather my mate who does car trimming rang me today and said he could squeeze me in cheers any way mate he reckons it will be done by friday
