Just took my Z on a long business trip to Ireland cause the weather was nice. Not only got over 25mpg on a TT (no supersonic stuff!) but also got fuel at weak Euro prices 55p a litre - thats more like it. I hate thinking of Gordon Brown smiling when I floor it. Never saw 350 miles before the wee light came on before!

Anybody get more mpg? I see some here get silly mpg?

On a long run without aircon and lead foot I can get just over 31 mpg. But thats below 80 all the way.

I get about 25mpg but that is mostly around town stuff.

When does the light come on. Where abouts is the needle? I have had the gauge reading empty but the light was not on. Do I have a faulty light?

Jeez, I reckon I'm doing well if I get to 250 before the light comes on. However, it has improved a little recently with the warm weather and perhaps since I cleaned the throttle bodies, adjusted the TPS and set the idle down to a more sensible level. I did get nearly 25mpg once on a more of less legal speed waz down to the west country. However, a manual will usually be fractionally better than an auto like mine.

I'm getting around 175 miles from a tank around town. Seems to be about 18 to the gallon but upto 25/30 on a long run.

The warning light is behind the petrol pump symbol on the fuel guage. The pump lights up orange on mine but only when the needle is in the red.

Around town I get about 18mpg and on the motorway, I get about 25mpg. My fuel economy improved slightly when I got a JWT ECU. BTW, the fuel economy in my car when cruising at 130-150mph is awesome. Get about 22mpg!! (All done on private roads of course!).

Seems to be a consensus - 18mpg round town and 25mpg motorway.

You guys with 30mpg on a run and 25mpg round town - is that with a TT or a NA? I'm gonna try cleaning the throttle boddies but can't see any way to get 25 round town. Normally I see 250 miles before i get the light on.

Mines a TT, but I drive like a granny to get the 30+.

Hi,

The worst I got was 21 MPG and the best was 28 (65 mph with cruise set and wife in car).

My Z averages out at around 24 mpg this is with a mixture of country lane driving and feisty A12 driving. I do around 52 miles a day.

I am a sad git and check it every week, this week it's 24.4. ;-)

Guess I'm even sadder because I keep track of it in an Excel spreadsheet redface.gif
