I went back to the seller tonight and gave it a proper test drive :)

Oh boy...Do they shift with the overdrive off!! :D

LOL

I even got the back end snaking in the dry in a straight line!!!

Loved it, but scared the shit out of the seller!!! :D

I am seriously worried about it in the wet!

But I can't resist....

So I have bought the car for a swap with my VTS and some cash.

I will swap the cars over when I get my old plates back on the VTS and the V5 back from the DVLA.

Whooooooooooooooooooohoooooooooooooooooo!

Congrats mate! I wake up every morning hoping its dry so I can use 1st gear acceleration - thats was really widens my grin!

If you find yourself getting up from the TV and strolling to the window a lot - don't worry, it's perfectly normal :D:D:D:D I even do it in the dark :p

Welcome aboard!

Pete

Fingers crossed I will soon back in the land of Z!!

(crosses fingers)

I can then once again, look out of the window for no reason, and use 1st gear acceleration (with TC!) in any weather.........

Not long now!

Matty.

wwwooooooohooooooooooooo indeedy

it only took me one test drive to convince me, they really are "super" cars

i used to rather cautious with money, but if the zed needs it, its gotta have it,

first time u drive it down a high street with the roof off, all detailed up n shiny will be a very strange experience the amount of looks u get, felt like the whole world was watching me.

get some piccies posted !

Cool,

Welcome to the newest Zedder and soon to be back in a Zed Matty too:)

I miss mine alot, a bonestock black H Plate pulled up behind me today and the lights, said to the missis that there is not many a better looking car on the road.

Hope you both get trouble free Zeds:)

You should have gone for the best of both Nissans.

I remember seeing a Z with a Skyline engine and drive train in so it was 4WD and everything.

:D

Hi Stu, hows it going mate?

I agree 100% - I have seen on the internet 300zx's with RB26's but I haven't heard of one outside of Japan.

I am tempted by another 300zx anyway, I fancy a bonestock black manual, just to potter around in y'understand ;)

The best words of advice I was given when I bought mine was take it easy for the first couple of weeks. Learn how your car drives and watch out in the wet.

Then you will continue to sport a silly grin years after your first drive.

Take care.

Not just the wet mate

I was shocked today in the dry.

Maybe I hit a greasy patch but that butt was starting to snake in a straight line!

That's when I decided this was the car for me :D:D

LOL

And I seriously think it's one of the most beautiful cars on the road, can't wait to get the t-tops off and start crusing :D

I'll upload some piccies when I get the car.

Eric,

Luke at the zcentre is doing a group buy on traction control if you are interested. He needs another 3 or 4 people to make it happen (minimum order of 10 off) Just a tad over 500 quids gets it sorted. Search on Racelogic will chuck it up.

Welcome to zed driving - always sideways - 90% backwards :D:D

they are great fun, but be careful in the wet, they do tend to be fishtail happy.

Traction control is a great mod if you can afford it.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D =sums it all up realy(when they behave!)Well done Eric,;)

Nice one Eric,

I'm pleased for you 'cos I know how much u wanted it.:D

When are you getting it ? Will it be before the 16th,if so come to the Brighton Z meet.:D :D

If not get in touch and we'll meet up somewhere for a pint.

Once again congrats and welcome to the Twilight Zone of Z ownership!!(tune playing...do..do..de..do..!!)

F.T.

Cheers all,

I have to wait tos sort out my Plates on the VTS so might be a couple of weeks knowing the DVLA :(

Still, I think it's worth the wait, just hope the weather is better by then :(

TC sounds like a good investment, will have to think about that.

First thing is a full service though as it's been garaged for the past year (oil like treacle probably).

Where's the best place local to Bristol to get this done and any idea what the cost might be?

Tony,

Don't know if it'll be ready to go to Brighton, but I'll give you a shout when I've got it and we'll meet up :)

Great news Eric,

welcome to the madhouse!

Where in bristol are you, I'm in Kingswood/St. george/Hanham bordr borders on the Kingsway.

As for Service etc. I have been using Motormend ( martin, great guy!) onn charlton road, Great for basic stuff, like general service and the like. also a lot cheaper than Wessex.

I have been using them for past 8years, done 2 services on my NA zed so far.

Have used proechnical ltd, Nailsea for speedo conversion/ rear fog, and QAS in Filton for aotobox/electrical probs.

Or of course theres good old Wessex, who to be fair have been pretty good in getting parts quickly and are friendly, even when I say its an Import.

I did suggest a Bristol meet, but no replies to date!!!

Hi Ray,

I'm in Bradley Stoke so not that far away.

We'll have to have a local meet sometime :D
