For all us peasants out there who are still on conventional dial up internet access...
Iain was telling me that you can ring BT and tell them your dial up connection speed is tommy tank and request that they turn the gain up on the line and hey presto. I was getting 38000 bps and now after a confirmation text message from BT am getting 44000 bps. Fastest I've had it (ohhhh errrrr Mrs :D) EVER!!! Woooo hoooooooo! Much better and much faster.
