A few years ago I installed some Driftworks pillowball tension rods thinking it would improve handling etc, the result was not what I expected, ie a very firm ride over road bumps which ruined the driving experience.

I now want to go back to OEM but perhaps with polybushed tension rods?

What are people's experience with upgraded bushing vs OE?

The Nismo bush works very well (I've had them fiited for years). Slighly harder than stock rubber.

Thanks Andrew, I still have the OE rods and will check if the bushes are fine to use as they are. The Driftworks ones are so stiff that even going over a regular speed hump feels "crashy" and definitely not suited for a road car

Update! found my old tension rods which were safely tucked away under

my "ZX stuff", hopefully this restores the "softness" to the car as I remember it

before I installed the Driftworks tension rods?

OE tension rods now put back, ride is definitely smoother over the bumps

but still firm because it has Bilstein shocks with lowered springs, but overall

has definitely taken the harshness over the bumps!
