hi guys, connected my data scan to the car today to check for error codes, and it's showing det sensor as being a problem. Jeff at zed world bypassed mine around 7 years ago and fitted a resistor in the wiring plug. the resistor is still in place, so any ideas what the problem may be? I cleared the code and it came straight back.

In the first instance check the plug contacts/resistor tails for corrosion. It is also possible the IMΩ resistor has failed (in the heat).

cool another job for when I visit jimmer then lol

So many det sensor faults. Easy to get at with plenum off too.

Might be the cable back to the ecu now, if your happy to keep the resister in and don`t see why not after this time, the easiest thing to do it fit the resister at the ecu end between pin 23 and earth.

just to put this to bed, I found the resistor had come loose in the det sensor connector, so I cut the plug of the det sensor sub harness, soldered the resistor into that and reconnected, I reset the code, started the car a few times and the code hasn't returned.
