If say £1 of mods added £1 to the value of your Zed, how much would people's zeds be worth?

Just a thought

At the moment my car is £5k + £1.5 in mods and 1.5 in maintainance.

So £6.5 or £8.

Ouch !

best part of £20k, although the car itself cost half of that when I bought it nearly 5 years ago.

Couple of grand in maintainance on top of that too !

Coming up on £20k  The car itself cost me just under £5k when I bought it a year ago. Been an expensive year lol

:D Value???

my goodness that thought didn't even enter my head when i bought my Zed

that sounds like being sensible, I bought my Zed cos its what I wanted!!! i know what I like

I just gave them the cash and started smiling, (haven't stopped )even though my car's been wrote off, had to buy it back, and all the probs since then:rolleyes:

I drive it every day, use it on the school run,

Mods hahahahahahhaahaaha... i kinda like it stockish, mind u mine was bought wif tints and great big spoiler and cute exhausts

minor mods like fuel kits are my only interest, for now......

Money wise, my bank manager is not well pleased

Remember this...your average new car loses at least £2k in the first year. So your Z might not be as expensive as you think.

Flicking through the Parkers Guide last night: Brand new Ford Galaxy loses £14K in its first year    !

I only get depressed about how much I've spent when that evil thought of selling enters my head by accident! :D

You will never get back the money you invest in modding. You will only really cry like I say when you sell it and realise how much you are out of pocket.

Take quality street Z owner at Billing with his green Strosek. He claims to have spent about 40-60K on it. However, I've seen it in the back of Max Power advertised at 13K and as far as I know he still hasn't sold it.

Well, I won't be selling my Zed ever. If the time comes and I need to get rid of it. I'm going to break it. Not only will you be sorting your mates out, but you'll also make a lot more money ;).

However saying that, my insurance company covers all my mods as long as I have the receipt. They don't charge me any more for them as they insure me and not the car (I can drive any car I want and I'm still covered). But they say that if I want to claim for any after market parts in the result of a loss, I need to keep the receipts, where they will compensate me for the mods takings wear and tear into consideration.

All for the bargain price of $928 (works out about £680) fully comp.

Unlike most of you... I love my insurance company :D.
