Hi all,

as Summers just around the corner now, does anyone fancy a trip out to Brighton, for a spot of pub lunch, with lovely views across the Brighton shore line?

Itinerary similar to previous years if that works for everyone?

Meet @ 9.00am (ish) Car Park at the foot of Boxhill, just opposite the Burford Bridge Hotel, RH5 6BX (http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/hotel-...el/index.shtml) No great rush to leave, I seem to remember that here is a burger/van or similar so perhaps we can grab a coffee/tea, have a chat etc before heading off.

Link from the last one, a couple of years ago now!

Sorry to hear this Chris. The registration at the bar, was not there last year. I cannot remember who pointed it out to me, whilst were waiting to be served. Sorry that i didn't mention it to you.

I would definitely appeal it, given we have photographic evidence that we patrons, of their establishment.

Thanks mate, I think I will call the pub and see what they say. However I can imagine they’ll tell me to take it up with the parking firm who typically tell you to poke it. I’ll keep you informed.

It is an illegal notice.

A private company who put a camera on private land.

The only people allowed (legally) to issue parking fines are Police & Council traffic wardens.

Do nothing! Do not reply, Do not contact them

It is a photo of your vehicle with a notice that is to look like the official parking ticket.

Super markets & outlet shopping places do it where its private land not owned by local councils

Art has a point. This happened to me at a shopping center car park were I got a notice on my windscreen but A friend advised to do nothing. I must of received several threatening letters over that year but nothing came of it. That was about 3 years ago so I guess they have now given up as they have no legal powers to make you pay the fine no matter what they threaten you with.

I’ve also been through this before. After 4 years of ignoring them I never heard anything further. It was laughable that I had an £80 fine that would go down to £40 if I paid straight away. Then when that bonus time elapsed it went back to £80, a year or so later it went up to £160. The following year the threat of bailiffs being sent round came, I was then offered that paying £20 will have it settled. Eventually we moved (not because of the threat) but I didn’t have any further correspondence forwarded to me. Maybe I should check UKs most wanted?

I just need to decide if I want all these harassment letters sent to me again?

Best to check but there where some amendments to this stuff. The old ignore it advice isn’t always right anymore.
