When I get bored at work I end up in the cafe.......I spend a lot of time in the cafe:D To pass the time I always used to read bike magazines such as SuperBike, Performance Bike and Fast Bike. Due to the fact that GOD has told me not to ride bikes again (14 accidents in 12 years:eek: (not one of them my fault) I am now faced with reading car mags.
I've tried the Max Power/Fast Car/Revs titles, and they make my skin crawl with the DUMB 'humour' and the fact that they are only interested in putting big spoilers and big speakers in small cars.
I've now tried Top Gear and Evo, and have to say.....WHAT A PILE OF PANTS!!!!!:( These car magazines are utter utter SHITE. There is NO humour at all (or if there is, it's the sort of humour favoured by the Chris Goffey's of this world) All the writers are so far up their own arses it's painful to read! The contributors just seem sooooooo dull..... Petere Dron = pompous ass, Richard Porter = unimginative twink, Martin Buckley = YAWN, Gareth Wardell = well, he's writing from America so yes he's very dull too.
After reading bike tests in bike mags I couldn't wait to get down the show room to see the latest Jap/Italian missiles. After reading a car test on something like the Bugatti Veyron, I just wanna go out and buy a bus pass.
This twatishness extends as far as the readers letters too. Driveling on about what is EVO-NESS (????!!!) They even have readers writing in to have a go at split-infinitives and slang/jargon FFS!!!
So, the challenge is...does anyone know of ANY car mags out there that are written with the same informative but amusing style of the bike mags?
