So I'm really pissed, I go to fit my new spoiler with optimism, then realise the 'factory spoiler' isn't factory at all but a fibreglass one. Upon further investigation it's been installed with about 2" thick of tigerseal.

 

I've tried heat, wire, cutting parts of the spoiler and it simply will not come off the boot. At the silly prices I'm seeing rusty old boots for on ebay, is there anybody with some slick tips on removing this thing without warping my boot panel?

The usual trick is using the wire for cutting out windscreens and sawing through the sealer

Sounds like a nightmare mate but as Jimmer has said wire is usualy the best option and its what I used.

Mine seemed to be welded on too. Fortunately the old boot was going in the bin, so we cut it off... which is no help lol. Good stuff that seal
