After a bit of advice regarding selling a car abroad, I have a potential buyer from France coming next week to view and potentially buy one of my cars. If he does buy any idea what part of the V5 (log book) I need to fill in? I have never sold a car abroad and normally do it all online but I would imagine in this case I wouldn’t be able to do it online.

I have told the potential buyer to bring sterling so I can deposit the money into my bank prior to releasing the car.

Any advice appreciated

Thanks

There is an export part, you might still be able to do it online.

Would that not be if the current owner was exporting the car to another country

I would give the DVLA a ring, as far as I know you are still exporting the vehicle to another country, and he will need the relevant paperwork to re register it. You must have a good receipt with the full description of the car make and model, reg no, vin no, date, time of sale in case of tickets, full names and addresses of both parties, and price in pounds and written confirmation of the price.
