Afternoon all

 

I was hoping someone might be able to tell me if it’s possible to reconditioned a seat motor. My Navaras driver seat forward/back motor has stopped working. I’ve taken it all apart and there’s signs of heat damage on the copper coiling. I called Nissan to order a new motor and was told they only come with a new seat base at nearly £1k +vat.

I’d rather get mine reconditioned if possible than try my luck with a second hand unit.

But have you got power to the motor itself?

Yes mate.

Is your Navara the D40?

Yes, 2011 D40.

Thanks Andrew. It’s my understanding that there was a recall for this issue in the states but not for the UK. My seat is very similar to that.
