Morning all,

 

I thought I'd better come on here and address various concerns regarding this GB. It's now a little over 12 months since the originally planned start date and two jobs have been completed - Mogsy's and Jaikai's. I should've been at the end of this, but I'm clearly not.

 

I'm not going out of business (although it has been touch and go at times) and I'm certainly not doing a runner with anyone's money. It's been a VERY rough 6 months or so personally and work has suffered massively in that time. I was already behind with the GB, so this just throws everything even further out. For that, I can only apologise and extend the following offer:

 

If anyone is tired of waiting, which would be understandable, then they can have their deposits back. I'd much prefer not to lose the customers, but if I do then I do and I'll have to deal with that.

 

Also, my hard drive with all the details for this GB on has died! So could all participants please forward anything they have that confirms specs and agreed prices to simonlee@uk2.net so I can familiarise myself with who wants want.

 

Apologies for not being on here much but I'm literally just working constantly to try and get things back on the level. Anyone who knows me on Facebook knows how rough things have been, but I've hopefully turned a corner now and I'm working to get back on track.

glad your still around and have come back from your tough time.

I don't think anyone is pushing you, but for me personally i just wanted to know if it was still happening, if you were still around and if so a rough eta for the start of work.

As the money had been saved spent saved and spent again on various bits and bobs oh and cam belt water pump etc lol.

I have emailed you and tried to ring your business mobile but haven’t got any response since the initial contact.

 

Have any of the other members of this group buy dropped out due to the lack of coms or are we all still in?

Really interested in finding out.

 

I do understand that you have had a tough time and I truly sympathise with you and I understand things can get tough.

But you did set this group buy up and I think communication is vital just so that we all know where we stand.

But hey maybe it’s just me that’s left in, if so please contact send me the samples you said you would and let’s move forward.

I’ve tried emailed pm ,and text had no reply the thing is in buisness communication is key I’m in no rush but people won’t wait don’t know what he’s been through hope it’s nothing serious but a quick reply takes a second

Nice to hear that someone else in the group buy is able to respond.

I am sure he is bogged down but as you say a quick message is seconds and means a lot.

Leaves me feeling that if my full interior goes up 1 will I know if it’s got there 2 will I know if it’s being or been done 3 will I get it back

From all the forum comments about Simon it has always been so positive and showed hide n seat to be professional. So I am very disappointed with this lack of communication.

The thing is I still want my interior done.

Business is business so you should have good communication with Mondo. He has hit a bad patch in life so I do sympathize with him but this needs addressed also. We will try and get Simon to update the state of play with this group buy.

I’m not part of group buy he did my interior couple of years ago just wanted some other bits done so probably last on pile just wanted to see a rough timescale to be a loyal customer hopefully.

On October 11th, I started this thread to update all the participants and also to ask that each one contact me with the details of their spec and costings as my hard-drive with the details on has died. To date, only Stuart has done this. I've just replied to his email now.

 

Nobody has dropped out, to my knowledge. Should anybody wish to, they're welcome to contact me (which can be difficult at times, and I apologise for that!) and we'll get things sorted out.

 

The long and short of this is that I am beyond busy right now. This is my problem, not anyone else's. I'm way behind with absolutely everything, but I'm trying to get caught back up again.

 

John: I'll drop you a line tomorrow.

 

Ian: have you even decided on a spec yet? Or a final list of which items you actually want trimming?

 

I apologise that this is so overdue, and I apologise that I can be quite difficult to get hold of at times. Both are issues that I'm working on, whether it seems that way or not.

Just checking matey, I’ve not been around here or in contact with many people in a while, at present I’m slowly losing all love for these cars and am contemplating getting myself into a nice Mercedes coupe instead.

Unfortunately Simon hasn’t been the best at communication I did have coms with him back in November even return an email with a couple of suggestions about colour of materials but I haven’t had a response.

The only way to be sure is for me to drop off and collect my interior in person so at least I know where it is and how to get it back.

And now replied to. Just waiting on some pictures and to see if I can colour-match leather from 5 years ago as the original supplier has now ceased trading.

I'll be dropping you an email in the next few days when I hear back from a supplier, Stuart. You said you wanted your interior to look like mine and I might've found the same leather as I used but without the £300 per hide price tag!

I believe Stuart did a couple of months ago, and we've spoken since then. Basically, I'm up to my neck in work right now as I'm trying to get caught up after a grim 6 months or so.

Hi Si thanks look forward to hearing from you. Might have slightly changed the idea now and might do away with the alcantara and just go full leather ( as trying to colour match two different materials might be tricky) with diamond stitching.

Well after nearly two and a half years the interior is out wrapped up and sent to Si on a pallet all ready for him to perform his magic.

How's it going with your interior Stuart? Spoke to Si on Facebook messenger at the end of April to arrange getting my seats booked in for a retrim at which point replies were within hours. Got his details to send a deposit to his bank account to confirm the booking then heard literally nothing since then not even an acknowledgement of the deposit being received :confused1: Tried messaging on Facebook and sent a text message to his number but no reply. Thought I'd see if anyone else has been in touch with him on here before bombarding him with phone calls and messages but I just want to know what's going on.

Well his coms has always been sparse. I have had the same problem my interior went up nearly four weeks ago and I had heard nothing since confirming it’s arrival, not even the confirmation of the additional £1000 I sent him. After several emails and many many missed calls and txt I eventually sent a message via messenger which he did, after a while, respond too informing me that his work phone might be dead and that he would send me an invoice as soon as he got home that was the 2nd July and still nothing.

Frustrating is an understatement, I know he is busy and his work is excellent ( we have all seen his pics on Facebook)but I do question how he can run the business with this level of communication.

If you are following Si give us a call please and send me the invoice/ deposit acknowledgment.
