Hi,

I'm doing to be doing a major service on my z soon , timing belt, water pump, thermostat , spark plugs, fuel filter, clutch fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid,

What recommended oil do people use and how many litres?

What's the best best brake and clutch fluid to use?

Thanks :)

4 and a bit liters of 10-40 semi or fully. I use semi.

I've used Dot 4 and 5.1.

Awesome thank you

Mate just to be a bit more clear. The reason I say 4 and a bit, is because it may vary with oil coolers and stuff.

But the important thing is that Zeds don't really hold a lot of oil, it's not much more than 4 and the dipstick goes from dry to over full in no time. Over full is as bad as too little, so put 3.8 in, then be patient and do it bit by bit.

With regard to viscosity, people run all sorts. But I have gone from 40-something to nearly 90'000 miles using 10-40 semi. In that tine it has had multiple track days and and a lot of time at full boost and 5500rpm, the car has stock auto turbos at 16psi with no issues so far. I change the oil about every 2000 miles, but my car makes it very clear to me when it wants fresh oil so sometimes it's changed sooner.

I can only speak from my own experience and I may be very lucky, but I can say it's worked well for me.

When I had stock brakes I put 5.1 in but then upgraded to my Ksports. When I had to buy new fluid I either couldn't afford or buy enough of the 5.1so refilled with 4. It has been absolutely fine.
