I've been quoted £60 for an oil and filter change,£115 for the rear brake pads (fitted)and £160 for the oil pressure sensor.Do They sound steep or about the going rate ?

Featured Replies

Doesn't sound too bad - similar to main dealer (outside London) prices I reckon.

Yes not bad - however i would deffinatly learn how to do the Oil Change yourself.

Filter + Crush Washer = 9.50

Decent Synthetic Oil = 25.00

no need to jack the car up or anything either that is 25.00 savings.

Rear pad price aint too bad - i would leave that to the pros if you aren't a confident mechanic already.

I would check and clean the contacts on the OPS before you spend that ammount of money to replace it also 8/10 that is the problem there.

lol, nope it was synthetic oil, stuff they use in the seat works rally cars (or so ive been told) besides im slowly convinced oil is oil, i really would like to see proof that paying 30 squid for castrol rs is better than halfords oil. (i really would like to know)
