got the bill for my zed today and its ridiculous :mad:. the engine is out and stripped, grearbox is out. its a 92 UK manual TT. It have straight through decatted exhaust, new 3g brakes and i mean 1 weeks worth of use new. i am going to give it away as is for 1500 no offers. all it needs is a replacement engine and it will be worth 6k.

I know exactly how you feel after spending nearly £10K on my Z, being without it for 10 months and 3 weeks later the auto box died - the week before christmas! :o

 

Iwas tempted to buy yours and install the manual box and all the other bits but I can't afford it :(

 

You could get a cheap engine from a one of the many scrapped ones about. Might not be reconditioned but would be OK for a few years (maybe!)
