Hey guys, what combination or what parts can I use to make up a SWB manual propshaft?? Are there any other Nissans (Terrano etc) that might share propshafts with the Zed??

Featured Replies

Use front half from any manual, and use a rear swb tt prop.

Or just get a one piece prop made up

Hi Alic, I don't have a propshaft at all, it was stripped off the car with the gearbox, diff etc was hoping that an auto front half with a manual rear half might do the trick? If I got the two correct pieces, I could always send them off to get made into a one piece:thumbup1:

I think the auto box is a different length to a manual one so the front half will be different. If the splines of the auto/manual are the same then you could use an auto one to get a one piece made up.

It doesn't matter about the rear half as long as it is swb tt. If you have one piece made up a lwb TT will be fine also.

Hope that was alright to understand.

So if two piece : manual front & swb tt rear

One piece: any prop with a TT rear flange,

(as long as the auto splines are the same, which I cannot confirm if they are)

The auto and manual fitments into the gearbox are different, Richie. Simplest thing for you to do is tell Jimmer what you need and he can get a one-piece prop made up for you. :thumbup1:

Or speak to JimboSmythe on here as he may have a spare - he bought my OEM prop from me and I don't think he needed it in the end.

The splines on both gearboxes are the same, its just that the auto box prop has a cowell fitted which is easily removed. So get any front end and any rear and a one piece is the way forward. Jimmer has the dimensions for all models.
