Why have I never heard any talk of football, sport etc on the Zed General chat forum?

Who does everyone support? You may be able to guess my team by my username, doubt it tho! ;)

sorry - cant stand football. load of poofs that fall over crying at the drop of a hat imo

im a karate guy. something that england is actually quite good at, we were world champs for 10 yrs iirc. not a lot of people know that. :D

Yep, football is for Girly Girls.

Bit like Oasis really.

(Now waiting for the backlash)

:D

I love most sports and soccer is a great game, but what spoils it is the fact that they are a bunch of POOFS (no offense intended to anyone who is a poof except for pro football players lol)

the diving and shit that goes on has really spoilt the game.

Rugby is a nice game.

Motosrport in general is great.

Talking of karate, are you guys watching Eurosport 10 pm K1 boxing (thats a pretty nice mix and match)

Soccer = Game consisting of kicking an inflated pigs bladder from one end of a field to another, played by overpaid nancy boys!

The sooner David Beckam and that Matchstick of a wife of his leave this country the better!

Just my opinion you understand. :D

Well Myself I'm a bit of an all rounder. I play football every Monday night. Although I enjoy playing I don't really watch it unless England are playing. But I do agree that pro footballers are a bunch of wussies. I'd like to see them play rugby, there would be running home to their mummy in no time.

I'm into Martial arts (been doing it since I was 4 years old) but again, I can't stand watching Karate kumite, It's all points based (sorry had too many bad decisions made against me by Karate ref's in the past).

Agree about the poofs, but only in the top divisions. Non-league is a different game tho, much more grit and determination, less poncing about worrying about what conditioner you've advertised today.

Anyone into that Ultimate Fighting they show on Sky from time to time? I bet they'd call traditional martial artists poofs, no offense!

stu - iv refereed myself at crystal palace. its not fun i assure you! though iv gotta say, watching a good fight is great imo. even if it is points based.

also done kickboxing which is a good buzz

Well into martial arts myself, done about 5 different types, since I was about 7. Last one I did was Bushido Karate, the BEST martial art I have ever done, those blokes (& women) were proper hard. All the black belts & above basically just lived karate & it really showed, had to leave after 2 years as I couldn't really afford the lessons and TBH I just didn't have the energy. Would love to start it again someday.

Excellent Looks like we got a fair few Warriors on here then.

Mum started me in Judo when I was 4, since then done

Karate - ishin ryu

Ninjitsu - bujikan

Kickboxing - Cobra's (Hammersmith)

Boxing - Repton boys

Tae kwon do

Kendo (couldn't stick that for long :( ).

Aikedo - Club shut down just before my Black belt grading :(

Studied Sochin martial arts (like shoot fighting) for a year in Taikoo shing Hong Kong (93 - 94).

Karate - Kenshinkai

Jujitsu - Browne budo ryu.

My mrs bought me a singing Kung Fu fighting hamster for christmas, it's so cool (oops 28 years old acting like a kid again ).

Anyway time to get P*ssed. Happy New year all.

stu, dont suppose you knew/heard of Alan Collins (Bujinkan?), not many instructors about.

Collins.... Name rings a bell but I can't put a face to it :(

I prefer my extreme off-road mountain biking (no better feeling than being on the edge of a major off into 2 foot jagged rocks at 20mph).

I also ski, and like motorsport.

Anything that you can go really fast with really!

what do u both think of it? ive been reading all i can find about it and it seems pretty brutal...which is good :D

Funny you should ask about football as I sit here in Bolton BOGGLING at the idea of European football in the Reebok next season...

Cha  cha  ok  och  ah!

Sorry to hijack the thread, but how many on here are into extreme drinking?

:p Much harder I'd say :D

haha! from the pain i was feeling this morning i think i was doing some of that last night! you know you had a good night when everyone you was with the night before laughs out loud the minute they see you the next day...the stupid things i was doing lol

anyone tried poteen? 90% alcohol irish drink...made from potatoes apparently!

22 guys chasing a bag of wind across a meadow??? I think not!

Give me rugby any day!

Shrimpy, its obvious now! Oh no, another mighty morecambe supporter. One of the lads in our office is forever rambling on about em and goes to loads of the matches. Something about there being some Burnlet fans in with the Accrington lads on the Boxing day match he was wittering on about today.

Still, we musnt hold this against you!! :) ;)

Nick

I pretend to work, they pretend to pay me!

I marginally support Spurs - married into a family of supporters!!!

I used to cycle alot, Lands End to John O' Groats, time-trialing & racing. Before that I was into mountain-biking over long distance bridle-paths and did the Lake District. My beautiful Roberts bike hangs sadly in the garage as I changed to the fast wheels of fast cars.

Geoff.

Can't stand football tbh , Stu I got one of the silly karate hamsters with numchucks (spelling) from the mrs last year , Myself I am in to KickBoxing , full contact and vicious but good fun all the same :)

Your into kickboxing Ryan! You don't look the type, i.e you still have all your teeth and no grade 1 haircut

I did bujinkan ninjitsu aswell for 2 years - its really effective in real world situations - no ludicrous flying kicks or flashy $hit, just stuff that works!
