Hello,

I have a '90TT with the full automatic climate. Like someone said it's just pnp to switch it to the later one. I just bought the control module from the dashboard. But can anyone tell me the partnumber from the ECU I need?

Thanks, Mike

Hello, is there anyone willing to take a look at the numbers on the ECU in there car? Just bought a ecu supposed to be a '97 but it isn't  . It's located at the drivers side. If you take off the door-airduct you can see it. Has to be the later model meaning digital control but where mode and fan-speed can be selected.

Thanks.

my mistake, the series 2 digital is slightly different :S

Edited by Alic

Series 1 has temp and ambient and the ecu has a blue sticker on it

Series 2 has more control and the ecu sticker is green, will try and find the part numberseriesllpodandecu2.jpg

Series 1 is 27512 41PO3

Series 2 is 27512 41POO although the one in the above pic looks to be 41P11

The control pod looks exactly the same, the only difference is instead of being AMB- ambient temp, there is a seat/person symbol allowing you to control airflow to the dash/feet/centre or all three together

Yep just spotted that, it says mode with a fan as opposed to AMB

So the air vents, sensors and motors are untouched, changing the ecu allows seperate control of them as opposed to doing it itself with the series 1, which as i found is not always that reliable lol You can also use the series 2 control pod with a series 1 ecu, but will only operate as it did before, only with no ambient temp values

Thanks for the insight, will keep it in mind.

I swapped mine for the S2 pod and ECU and it's loads better!

Thanks Groover, means a lot to me. I found 4 different type's of Ecu and it's very confusing. I have a series 1 ecu and indeed it has a blue sticker exept the numbers are 31P13/AF120-33.

I guess there is 1 for the manual and then an early and a late in °C and an early and a late °F. So must be 5 different ecu's in total.
