I watched top Gear for the first time in about a year last night.

 

What a load of cack IMHO.

 

Most of the time they just stand around talking rubbish, I mean what was the uncool - sub zero wall chart all about ???. It seems as though it's everyone v clarkeson on that one, but somehow clarkeson always gets his way.

 

Fair enough the Jag thing proved a point, that you couls get some extra speed, but I doubt you'll get much more on a Zed if you did the same.

 

I got up to the point where they were sitting in their staff room talking about the sabb's/volvo's and BMW's that sunk on the shi, then I decided I could take no more and turned it over.

 

Please tell me that 5th gear is better that this. I'll be tuning in tonight to find out.

nelson didn't want to listen to the fact that you also change centre of gravity and balance of chassis at the same time. Im all up for going faster in a straight line but i don't want to be spinning off roundabouts :)

All 'driver comforts' these days are expected to be in the cars - otherwise people won't buy them. Pointless excersise really - they might have made it lighter but they also made it useless as a road car....

 

Top Gear IMO is FAR better than any of the other crap car programs out there. Surprised no one mentioned the fact the 350Z got a mention - the fat fvck reckons it will be one of those good buys cos it will hold its value very well - oh and what else did he say? Oh yeah all the audi tt's getting traded in for 350s :D

i think the argument actually was more to the tune of geeting 100bhp out of the engine would be far cheaper than getting the same performance out of losing every known extra on the car, in which case go buy a lotus 7 and keep quite lol
