Just advertising my interest in buying a Nissan 300zx Manual or Auto TT. I'm not fussy on the SWB/LWB, or the colour. Not looking to pay more than £2000 for one, and yes I am not expecting a lot for this sort of money! I intend to spend a lot more on it as a rolling project.

I own a Seat Leon Cupra R 05 plate with 86k on it and remapped to 280bhp. Body work is a lot to be desired (trolley dings, and car park T**ts) but has had a lot of money spent on upgrades, and maintenance. I'm mentioning this because there may be a deal to be done if someone is interested. If you are, I can provide pics. Otherwise I will just sell it separately, and put towards a less project-like Z.

I at least hope the 300zx is drivable to recover. If it is, I will travel far for it. If it is not, I can arrange collection if it isn't TOO far away. Unless delivery can be arranged?

Thanks for reading :)

I was considering this one when i was looking for my car. https://www.gumtree.com/p/nissan/nissan-fairlady-z-300zx-twin-turbo/1150021542

It has MOT on it and some quite nice pieces. do you want me to upload some more pictures that he sent me? EDIT: here is the Imgur Album i had http://imgur.com/a/QgIlF

Again bit far but they aren't all that common so sometimes you have to take the trip

£2000 is a good budget for a project IMO, you can get a car that can drive (like mine) but they don't cost a fortune to bring up to spec. I bought mine for £2000 and drove it home!

Gumtree link - That is a good looking car for the money. If the OP was interested could be worth giving Jim a call at Powerzed seeing the seller mentions that Jim has given it a clean bill of health.

It used to have a sticker on the bonnet saying "#testicles" but he removed it when i showed more interest :D

He didn't really tell me much about the car so you will have to enquire yourself.

The Navan shifter is also quite rare :tongue_smilie:

How long has that one been up for sale? I've emailed for more recent pictures, not that it matters much. If I can drive it home, there's a chance it could be this one. Just need to figure out how to get there!

It was up there in sep 2015 when I started looking, it may have been longer but I don't know.

I just piggybacked it for the way back.

I just randomly stumbled across his account on here and thankfully he actually has a build thread on here if you are interested. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?175334-my-early-1990-lwb-tt

Do any longer term members know any more details about this car/have seen it in person?

Looks like its came for sale round about August

. Just up on Gumtree...https://www.gumtree.com/p/nissan/1991-300zx-twin-turbo/1151190086

I reckon £1500 in £20 notes might get that.

Might even be able to drive home

It looks promising but it p

Looks like it needs a new year box for sure so that will set you back £500 min with parts

£1500 + new box (could do manual) £700?

All the jobs done on it already!

Good buy Id say if body sound.

I think you are being optimistic for a manual swap but thanks for the info on a gearbox change

Hi alic, did my auto box for £500!

Well plus transporting & bits!!!

Martin told me you would be set back around £1.5k because you have to change the pedals and flywheel, clutch etc etc

You can usually buy the complete auto to manual convention set up for around 5/7 hundred ish (that's what I sold one for)

Or you could pay someone like mark Derby or Lee dent to do the job for not much more with the piece of mind that it has been done by an expert that's done it numerous times before.
