hi guys, i've had a polished plenum & Throttle bodies here for a while waiting to fit to the car which is being done just after xmas hopefully, but i'm kind of reconsidering my options, how much upkeep does a polished plenum require? i don't want to be polishing it every few weeks to keep it shiny when i'd rather be out driving the car, i currently use belgom alu on polished bits and it tends to last quite well i can get away with polishing every few months but thats stainless bits not alloy.

my other option is to get it powder coated which i'm guessing will be a lot easier to keep up together in which case i'd either go for shadow chrome or silver.

any tips?

loads of upkeep mate, you're better off Powder Coating. Unless you are going for a bling look, even a powder coated one will need a good clean from time to time.

yes i was thinking maybe a silver sparkle or shadow chrome, if i go powder coat as i've still got blue rocker covers to go on and don't want everything blue, i like the look of a polished plenum but don't want the constant upkeep and it's not the easiest thing to polish once everything is bolted on. and over winter storage i can imagine will be a right P.I.T.A. luckily i've got a powder coating company 5 mins down the road from me may pay them a visit tomorrow.
